OUR TODDLER PROGRAM
Helping Your Tiny Tots Join the World!
Toddlers are quickly learning about the world around them. They are about speed - learning to talk, sing, and run simultaneously. Children in this age group develop faster than practically any other age group, and in their minds, the world is transforming by the minute. The Leave It to Beaver Toddler Program is designed to make the most of every one of their fast-paced milestones.

Our curriculum addresses toddlers' rapid growth and development by catering to their readiness cues. The older toddler curriculum focuses on preparing for preschool and beyond. We encourage our toddlers to move to the next challenge when they display interest or signs of emerging skills.
Our AREAS OF FOCUS
At Leave It to Beaver Childcare, we develop our toddler program to follow the Virginia’s Early Learning & Development Standards. We focus on the following areas –
Creative Arts & Music
We use the power of music, repetition, and movement in our group time and transitions. We also incorporate creative arts by using textures, design, and the most important ingredient, your child's imagination!
Physical & Well-being
We incorporate walking and running every day to help our toddlers gain control over their body and fine-tune their movements.
Language & Literacy
Fascinating conversations happen at this age, and our teachers encourage our toddlers to express their thoughts and needs.

Mathematics & Science
We provide an early foundation for math and science by integrating counting, patterns, and matching colors and shapes.

Social & Emotional
Our teachers use positive reinforcements to encourage good behavior and create enjoyable learning experiences.

Cognitive
At this age, there is less "trial and error" and more deliberate actions through cognitive progression. Our teachers will focus on helping your child develop a longer attention span and express their desires.
